Morris St. Farm

Josh Peterson

Morris Street Farm is not purely profit motivated, but driven by community connections, education, biodiversity, and the progressive ideals of farming in a small urban plot. We practice rotational chicken and sheep grazing of crops, cover and nurse cropping, microbe supplementation, and soil building as founding principles of the operation. The goal is to build more soil tilth every year, and with every crop. This farm contains the diversity of over 72 plant species, not including varieties, promoting a beneficial web through the micro-climate. Josh Peterson, the farm founder, works at WSU Tree Fruit Research Center and is always excited to meet new people, exchange knowledge, and grow plants.
